Flag for the Fallen
In July 2018, we were humbled to dedicate the landmark flagpole at 1100 W Grand to police officers, firefighters and paramedics who lost their lives in the line of duty. Both an American and a Chicago flag wave in remembrance of these first responders who gave their lives for the city we all call home.
Hoopademix
Sterling Bay has teamed up with a Chicago organization working to end racism through community sports by hosting a socially distant summer camp for local 5th to 8th graders at Lincoln Yards.
Friends of the Chicago River Volunteer Day
Each year, Sterling Bay teams up with Friends of the Chicago River, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health of the Chicago River system for the benefit of people, plants and animals. Our participation in volunteer events such as River Action Days supports healthy ecology and community revitalization.
Cara Collective
Through its ongoing work with Cara Collective, a local nonprofit that brings individuals in need back to the dignity and productivity of employment, SB Cares has helped create more than 65 new jobs for organization participants at over 25 of Sterling Bay’s Chicago-based properties to date.
Chicago Food Depository
A long-standing contributor to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Sterling Bay’s charitable support helps provide nutritious food to our neighbors in need. By taking hunger off the table, the Greater Chicago Food Depository enables families to focus on other priorities, like education, growth and security.
